After a little uncertainty as to who was going to play and all that, we got it together.  I really had to work to get the sound right for The Strange (3 acoustic guitars, 1 upright bass, 3 vocals -- filled almost every channel of the PA!), so they went first.  Someone broke a string a few songs in, so Clifford Brooks read a few.  They picked it back up.  Jennifer Avery read a few.  I played a set:

"Isles" and "Summer" don't get played much.  Most of my songs really need more musicians (they were written that way), and those two really need it.  Daylight was fading fast.  Kevin read another one.  There's just enough light from the Hawthorne parking lot to make it work.  La Marie's has another Sunday event, so we will alternate weekends starting week after next.  Stay tuned!
